This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.
The Isle of Harris Golf Course at Scarista comprises of a small clubhouse and green fees, and indeed merchandice, are paid on an "honesty box" system.
Described as one of the most picturesque 9-hole courses in the World, the Isle of Harris golf club was first set up in 1930 and through hard work and dedication it is now considered to be a first class links course.
A recent visit by an Edinburgh CAMRA member did not find a bar, nor drinks available, but took the picture.
The member found:-
"Attached picture shows the club house which is basically changing areas, toilets, a wee pro shop and a lounge area that has no bar or even a serving hatch.
It was shut, you can play golf on a honesty box system, so couldn't get inside. However it was pretty obvious that you cannot buy drink, unless they have a few bottles in the proshop."
Accordingly, this is a "holding" entry until such time as there is a bar.
