Bla Bla Bar is a Grade II listed building (No. 1255000) located in Nottingham City Council's Old Market Square Conservation Area.
Formerly the Imperial, a Courage tied house.
"Commercial building, now public house. c1870, altered c1990. Red brick with ashlar dressings. Roof not visible behind balustrade. Italianate style. 3 storeys; 5 window range of composite sashes with alternating pediments and moulded surrounds. Above again, 5 smaller plain sashes with moulded surrounds. Ground floor, ashlar, has 5 openings defined by pilasters, under a fascia cornice. The openings have glazed screens and doors, c1990. On the first floor, 2 large late C19 pendant lamps. INTERIOR refitted in late C19 style, c1990. Included for group value." (Historic England).
Presumably converted to a pub around 1883, when the Imperial Vaults appear at this address fully licensed under victualler George Kidd (Wright).
