Popular pub offering value food near Market Square. A single open plan bar offers some sense of intimacy at quieter times, but during meal times and sports can get busy leading to standing room only. Pub opens early for breakfasts. Refurbished and renamed February 2019.

Historic Interest

Built in 1959 for Barclays Bank to a design by architect WAS Lloyd. Has an entry on the Nottingham Local Heritage List as Heritage Asset HA24 (and formerly on Nottingham Civic Society's Draft Local Heritage List (09 December 2013)), which notes Elain Harwood's observation that the building is "Delicately classical".
