Superb traditional family run village pub dating from 1841 with pub history detailed on chimney breast. The pub hosts a scarecrow competition every August bank holiday Saturday and there are two darts teams. Pleasant beer garden at front of pub. The bar is warm and friendly without T.V's or jukebox and with a log fire and dry hops hanging over the serving area. The restaurant seats 50 and has an excellent reputation. Food is home cooked, generously portioned and locally sourced. The menu changes every six months and there is a specials board.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 2 regular beers.
