A family-owned establishment, the Hopper Lane Hotel is a large road house modernised in 2015 which sits on the main A59 Harrogate to Skipton road above Fewston Reservoir in the picturesque Washburn Valley.
Double-fronted and stone built with extensions, the original three front rooms are pleasantly decorated and furnished in eclectic style. The room to right of the entrance has a kitchen range, and old photos of the Fewston / Blubberhouses area adorn the walls throughout the building.
All rooms have open fires and are stone flagged with some original flags remaining by the front door. An old glass-covered well is an unusual feature in the large lounge area adjacent the left-hand room which is furnished with leather settees and chairs.
NB. Opening times are as advised by the pub, but these may vary at quiet times, therefore advisable to telephone ahead before making a special journey.
