Assumed to be the Duke of Wellington which was a pub at least from 1822 to 1857 and became Hop Inn by 1884. John Wharton is listed as a victualer in Caldy in Bagshaw's Directory of 1850 but the pub is not named. The building became a shop and post office and is now residential.
