Acquired by local pub group Stange & Co, this old pub has been refurbished, extended and reopened on 8 December 2023 as a gastropub with a spacious bar area. The single storey airy extension has views of the outside seating area and the pub is tastefully decorated with open fires for cold winter nights
Historic Interest
Built in 1810 said to be on the site of an older pub, it was listed in Bagshaw's Directory of 1850, an Argyle Brewery (later Birkenhead Brewery) pub. The dates of the old photos are unknown. Selling Whitbread beers in the 1980s. Briefly changed name to the Loch Fyne in the 1990s but reverted to its original name by 2012. Described in 2015 as in the heart of old West Kirby village, the Ring O Bells is built in a Mock Tudor style and is a stunning building with a large garden for outside dining and drinking. Closed in January 2020 and acquired by local pub group, Stange & Co. Reopened on 8 December 2023.
