Picturesque whisky and cask ale bar on Speyside's Whisky Trail, close to the Speyside Way which runs along the car park. Popular with tourists, walkers and fishermen and is very busy during whisky festivals and the tourist season.
The pub is twinned with the Highlander Whisky Bar in Tokyo. It offers a fine selection of malt whiskies, including many Japanese ones, and good value tasting sessions, alongside a selection of ales from three handpumps (two in winter).
CRAC (Craigellachie Real Ale Club) meets on the first Wednesday of the month, and its members, whose etched glass tankards hang above the bar, help to choose the pub's guest ales with the support of the owners and staff.
An outside decked area with tables and chairs is a delight on a sunny afternoon to eat and drink.
