This Pub is Permanently Closed

AFTER BEING CLOSED SINCE JAN 2019, CITY OF BRADFORD MDC GRANTED PLANNING PERMISSION (24/03585/FUL) AND LISTED BUILDING CONSENT (23/01772/LBC and 24/03586/LBC) TO CONVERT THE PREMISES FOR USE AS A CONVENIENCE RETAIL STORE.

IT WAS DEMOLISHED ON 12 JUNE 2025 ON INSTRUCTION FROM THE CITY OF BRADFORD MDC BUILDING INSPECTOR DUE TO ITS UNSAFE CONDITION.

A Grade II listed 360-year old pub with a long, central bar area and a semi-open plan multi-room layout. Originated as a farmhouse before being converted into a pub in the 19th Century. Had been closed for a long time and when visited on 12 Jun 2021 was looking semi-derelict with sections of roofing missing.
