A village pub, was the original staging house for visitors along the Turnpike Rd from Bradford to Halifax. The interior is original. It comprises a small lounge which can be closed off to form a separate room and a large public bar with stone and wooden floorboards, church pew seating and wooden beams, containing pool table and a stage for live music.
When visited in Aug 2025, although two hand-pulls remained on the bar, cask ale is no longer served.
