Large, traditional, multi-roomed pub alongside the main road and with good views. It is semi-open plan but with a multi-room feel. With a local pub ambience, it serves a wide ranging clientele and is family friendly. The servery is located between the front and rear sections of the pub. Four handpulls serve three regular cask ales and a guest, often from the local area. Five keg taps to the front part of the servery and eight to the rear dispense mass-produced beers and ciders. Numerous TV screens throughout the pub show sports. A range of events take place throughout the week. There are various meals deals including a 'Lunch Club' on Mondays to Saturdays until 5pm. A good value Sunday roast is offered. A 'Blue Light' discount is offered. There is a Thursday night quiz. Bingo takes place on the last Friday evening of the month. There is also a 'Golden Oldies' bingo and karaoke event on the last Tuesday afternoon of the month. The front door may be locked later in the evening when it is quieter but the door to the rear will still be open.
