Please note this Pub is closed 03/08/2020 and became Permanently Closed 15/04/2021 (Other uses). Former owner Meantime Brewery announced 03/08/2020 that the pub would not be reopening. In April 2021 Young's acquired the premises and subsequently incorporated the space into its Richard I pub next door.

This Pub is Permanently Closed

Small former Charrington's pub owned by the local Meantime Brewery (since 2015 itself owned by brewing giant SABMiller then in 2016 by Asahi Group) with a large selection of its beers and an extensive range of bottled beers. Popular with students. Single narrow bar with rustic tiled floor and wooden tables and chairs. Originally had 3 handpumps but these were removed in early 2014 leaving the pub selling keg beers only on draught.
