Restoration
The pub is the focus of a small village and following restoration reflects the character of its rural setting, helped by a real fire in winter. The interior has been impressively worked with plenty of wood throughout - the bar counter and bar back, the flooring and wall panelling. The judicious use of mirrors, glazing and ornamentation adds to atmosphere and discrete drinking areas give a sense of times past. The pub attracts visitors from a wide area, particularly walkers and cyclists. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Currently no meals while the kitchen is refurbished but this will change - check websites for up to date information. Real ale is available.
