Delightful independent local in a charming village on a ridge near the Northamptonshire border. The pub provides a congenial focus for a small village community and attracts visitors from a wide area. Particularly popular with walkers and cyclists. Three hand-pulls deliver a regularly changing selection, including local cask ales such as Digfield, Brewsters and Nethergate. A real fire adds atmosphere in winter.

Bought by the Langridge family in June 2024, the pub has undergone a major renovation but still retains the warmth and character of its historic setting.
