One of the few remaining old-style Marylebone pubs, small and cosy. First licensed 1842 and rebuilt 1890, the pub now has a traditional interior with red banquette seating, carpet, bar stools, and an etched bar back mirror.
A piano sing-a-long is held every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evening from 8.30 to 11pm; Tony "Fingers" Pearson has played the piano at the pub since 1988. Landlady Gina Vernon and her family celebrated 30 years at the pub in 2021 and the pub has been described as "the heart of Marylebone".
Up to four cask ales may be found here including sometimes less common names. Several times CAMRA's West London branch third-place Pub of the Year, most recently in 2022.

Rebuilt in 1890, the most impressive feature in this pub is the spectacular Victorian bar-back, and it also has a matchboard panelled bar counter and wall panelling on the dado.
This is a small and cosy pub, one of the few remaining old style Marylebone pubs. The three bay Victorian bar-back has good decorative etched mirrors on the left and right, and plainer mirror panels in the middle although the upper section does have in gold lettering the name of the pub, as well as a depiction of the eponymous eagle. Note the two small baffles on the left and right ends of the bar back. The three sided bar counter looks old, and possibly original, but has been painted deep red as has the dado panelling throughout. There are three external doors so there were originally three bars (or two bars and off-sales), and on each side of the two main doors still in use are capitalled columns.
This Pub serves 3 changing beers and 1 regular beer.
Golden Eagle, London
Changing beers typically include: St Austell - Tribute , Three Acre - Session Pale , Windsor & Eton (seasonal)
