Country inn lying off the beaten track some three miles north of Ripon, although only five minutes from the A1(M). It is a large pub, refurbished in the early 2020s in a contemporary style, there are a number of different spaces including a large function room, pub benches at the front and a beer garden at the rear. Four handpumps on the bar serve up to three local cask ales; a fourth beer may be added in summer.
