This Pub is Closed Long Term

Closed citing, excessive running costs.

Reopened in December 2019 after a refurbishment as a new addition to the Cheshire Pub Co stable - a sister pub to the Dog at Peover and Ship at Styal. The bar has been restyled and there’s now a larger surrounding area for those that just want a drink. It also remains a food pub however with a large dining area, but the opportunity of the refurb has been taken to break it up with additional partitions. There are five real ales on hand pump including two house beers supplied by Weetwood. The food is of the usual high standard expected from a Cheshire Pub Co establishment with an interesting menu which, to match the times, has a substantial section headed “Meat Free”.
