Historic Interest
A Victorian railway pub built in 1876, it was for many years a Home Ales house. Between 1925 and 1946, the Fox & Hounds was the location for 14 coroner's inquests into fatalities at the nearby Gedling Colliery (www.healeyhero.co.uk). The Fox & Hounds was registered as an Asset of Community Value on the 30th November 2016 by Gedling Borough Council, after nomination by the Nottingham Branch of CAMRA.
As at November 2017, the freehold for the Fox & Hounds (NT248815) was held by Ei Group plc [Reg. No. 2562808], formerly known as Enterprise Inns.
