A village pub just outside Leicester, in the historic village of Glenfield. It has a good, welcoming atmosphere. Modern British food is available in the busy, upmarket restaurant and snacks in the bar. Two guest beers are available with a changing cider, usually from a local producer. Quiz night is on Sunday. A charity music festival is held in May. The pub has launched a "bring back jugs" campaign, which continues to be well-received.
