Reopened at 7pm, Friday 5th June 2026 after a 7½ year closure.
The 'FILO' is on the road linking North Walls with the M3 at junction 9. Outside the attractive listed frontage of a late 18th-century house has been preserved. Inside a single bar serves a surprisingly spacious series of linked rooms and alcoves, all pleasantly and simply decorated and furnished.
At the rear is a very smart smokers' patio, beyond that a simple garden, with access to a footpath along the bank of the River Itchen.
Following the 2026 refurbishment three handpumps are present and on opening night Timothy Taylor Landlord and Otter Bitter were being served.
