Reopened late April 2022 after refurbishing kitchen and rooms. An easy walk from the harbour front, the Ferry is handy for buses to Kirkwall and the mainland ferry from Scrabster. The bar has a maritime theme.

Popular with locals and visitors, many of whom are on Orkney for diving on the sunken German fleet at Scapa Flow, others for the various attractions nearby such as the Ring of Brodgar and Skara Brae village.

Annual Folk and Blues festivals are held, as well as music nights, and often a marquee is erected outside complete with a pump of ale.
