17th century Hook Norton coaching inn boasting historic features and lots of character which has been in the hands of the same family for over 40 years. Once upon a time it straddled the turnpike from Banbury to Chipping Norton. When the new A361 was driven through the village, the 'Ele' was left tucked away on a quiet side street. The carriage entrance now leads to the car park, garden, terrace and the front door. Two well-kept Hook Norton ales are available along with a guest ale sourced by Hooky. Also available are several ciders and perries from Westons, Hogans and others; indeed it is a recent branch Cider Pub of the Year. Good homemade food is served at lunchtimes (not Sunday). Its two quality accommodation rooms make it an ideal base to explore the attractions of the Cotswolds.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer (from Hook Norton guest list) and 1 regular beer.
