A short walk out of town to High Harrogate is this old pub, formerly the Devonshire Arms, then 10 Devonshire Place, and in its current guise since 2019. It retains its original semi-circular counter with stained glass canopy, wood flooring throughout and a mix of wooden benches, tables and chairs. There is seating at the front and down both sides of the pub through to the back making for lots of separate drinking areas. Four handpumps each side of the bar dispense largely changing beers from mostly Yorkshire breweries. A large board on the wall displays the cask ale selection with ABVs whilst a small blackboard at the front of the bar lists the beers together with prices of pints and half-pints. There are 12 keg lines, a beer fridge and boxed ciders often from Lilley’s, but sometimes a real cider such as Celtic Marches. Food offering is pizzas and light snacks including gluten-free and vegan options.

Note that this pub chain charges a small premium on the price of half pints.
