A 17thC former coaching inn at the heart of the village. A warm, cosy venue with wood beams, flagstone floors and open fireplaces. The single bar has four handpumps serving three regular ales and a guest. New owners from early 2021 have been gradually increasing the range of food, now includes evenings and Saturday breakfast, locally sourced where possible. Apparently haunted, there is also a large garden, games room and separate dining room. In the church opposite you will find the Devil's Stone that is turned every year on 5th November to ward off evil spirits. Closed on Tuesdays
