Elegant, traditional New Town pub that attracts a varied clientele, but predominantly New Town residents. The walls are half wood panelling and decorated with exquisite brewery mirrors along with framed, decorative and illustrative posters. The bar counter is particularly of note. A corridor leads to a cosy drinking area at the back which doubles as a function room and was renovated in 2024. It has beautiful marble flooring and a speakeasy feel. There is also a small snug and another side room all of which are suitable for private bookings. The large beer garden to the side is popular in summer. Owned by DM Stewart, who also have the Abbotsford, Guildford Arms and Ryries.
