New town restaurant and bar where full provision is made for customers who only require drinks. Split into three parts, the left hand one with bare floorboards is the friendliest for drinkers. The carpeted right hand part next to Dundas Street is very much for serious diners. The menu is upmarket Gastro-style with an above average small plate selection. The genial surroundings are enhanced by the lack of televisions.
NOTE: The real ale is from the tap with the long spout.
