This Pub is Closed Long Term

A free house until 1976, this pub was a former Morrell’s house built mid C19 on the site of an inn called Titup Hall. This was a coaching inn on the old road between London and Oxford via Shotover which quickly declined when the current London road was opened in late C19. The building had two rooms served by an island bar.

Approval given Oct 2015 for 3 4-bed houses on car park. Pub not affected. Pub still boarded up 2021.

Application 22/00040/PIP to demolish and replace with 7 or 9 dwellings with council Jan 22.
