Grade II-listed, 17th-century brick and flint coaching inn with origins that may well date back to the 11th century. The adjacent 400-year-old barn is used for functions and is licenced for civil ceremonies. A pleasant and cosy interior and a focus on quality food. Popular with walkers and cyclists.
The Crown closed in March 2020 and was subsequently purchased by Pablo Diablo's Legitimate Business Firm Limited whose sole director is Russell Brand in late 2021, but never reopened as a pub and was sold to the new owners in April 2026.

Historic England Grade II listed, entry number 1194438. Originally a house. Built 17th century left range with front bay added in 18th century; early 18th century to right; and 20th century alterations.
