This Pub is Permanently Closed
Demolished over the 24th/25th October 2015 weekend to make way for a terrace of five houses.
Formerly a community pub popular for pub games: darts, Aunt Sally and pool. Was owned by Enterprise Inns (now EI Publican Partnerships).
The following South Oxfordshire District Council Planning applications refer to the demolition and the subsequent replacement housing:
P15/S1215/FUL 16th April 2015 - Demolition of The Crown Public House. Erection of a terrace of five dwellings and one detached dwelling, together with associated parking and amenity space. (As amended by plans received 09-06-2015 to omit the single detached dwelling, reduce the height of all dwellings, changes to soft and hard landscaping) - Planning Permission on 29th June 2015.
P15/S3194/DIS 23rd September 2015 - Discharge conditions 3 (materials) and 7 (Construction Management Plan) of planning permission P15/S1215/FUL. Demolition of The Crown Public House. Erection of a terrace of five dwellings and one detached dwelling, together with associated parking and amenity space - Fully Discharged on 13th October 2015.
