This Pub is Permanently Closed

A typical village local and GBG regular despite being out-of-the-way. Was always going to struggle after the popular owner moved away and the cessation of the bus service won't have helped. Closed suddenly 30 July 2023. Sold October 2023. Planning application for change of use from mixed to single dwelling (C3) registered 26 November 2024, P24/S3736 and approved, basically because there were enough pubs in the main part of Wheatley a 15 minute walk away.
