Originally starting out as a mail order beer business, the Penge taproom opened in late 2019 for both drinking in and takeaway. Converted from a delicatessen with a modern glass front, the inside is relatively small with a bar counter. The décor is a plain white ceiling and walls with dark horizontal planks, whilst the seating consists of high stools and tables plus a couple of low seating booths. Illuminated bottle cabinets and fridges contain a large and eclectic range of beers in both cans and bottles.
No cask ale on draught but there are ten taps for keg, usually showcasing microbreweries from London and further afield (eg. Lost and Grounded, Verdant, Burnt Mill and Beak to name a few). These change on a frequent basis but will usually include a lager, a dark beer, a fruited sour and US style pale ales.
Please use their website and social media feeds for further information.
Both the Green Chain Walk and Capital Ring trails pass near to the premises.
