Traditional and friendly village pub with low beams, an open fire and flagstone floors. The central bar serves two cask ales for the bar and a separate room to the right, mostly used for dining. It is renowned for tasty meals and generous portions. The TV at one end of the bar, and also in the rear pool room, is used for major sporting events, otherwise conversation prevails. At the back there are ample table benches and a marquee used for events and functions.
The large camping field behind is booked with the pub, and is close to the River Avon and Billingham Lock. Bidford-on-Avon is a ten minute walk across the fields to the ancient and narrow stone bridge over the Avon.
It is a sister pub to the Shakespeare Inn, Welford, and the Mason Arms, Pebworth, also run by AD pubs.
