Imposing late Georgian building adjacent to the mediaeval parish church and close to the eponymous castle. A single bar serves three distinct drinking areas including a cosy snug. The outside drinking area at the front is especially popular on warm sunny days. Regular outlet for Theakstons Old Peculier. The food is all home-made and home-cooked, also served some evenings ring to enquire. Parking is limited. Quiz night Sunday.
