East Staffordshire's first micropub, opened October 2013 in a former sweet shop.
The small bright single room on the ground floor of a Victorian terrace features pine benches and tables, but no bar counter, and one wall is decorated with an aphorism, a mural, and a table of 'ale measures'. (A pottle is an archaic name for a half-gallon measure or a container for such a quantity.) A window at the rear offers a view of the stillage ('Apparatus Room').
Snacks include a range of cheeses, plus pork pies at weekends.
May open during the day on a bank holiday Monday if there is a special event in the village.
This Pub serves 4 changing beers and 0 regular beers.
