Primarily a beer-drinker's pub in a Grade II-listed building on Thornbury's High Street. 200 years as a butcher's shop, with further records of use going back to the mid 17th century. The building has some superb period features such as fireplaces, alcoves and ceiling beams in its 3 rooms. There's also an ancient and massive front door and a recently enlarged outdoor drinking area at the front. The pub offers up to six cask beers on handpump, plus two real ciders.
