This pub sits in a quiet village not far from the M40. It dates from the late seventeenth century and retains a lot of its traditional charm.

Historic England Grade II listed, entry number 1181826. Built late 17th century/early 18th century. Recorded as an inn in 1684.
Community Supported
The freehold of the pub was purchased by the Great Milton Community Pub Limited (a Community Benefit Society) in 2013 and operated as a community owned pub for several years. In 2023 the pub, after having apparently run into trading difficulties during the pandemic, was sold to a local businessman who is apparently committed for the pub to continue to be a community asset.
