Spacious, smart pub near Radley station with two distinct areas, one for eating and one for drinking and watching the sport. Built in the middle of the 19th century, a few years before the station, it was leased by Morland and then purchased by the brewing company in 1889 when the Bowyer estate was sold to settle debts. Sir George Bowyer, the 5th Baronet, fought in a number of naval battles and was an MP after he was injured. He inherited the Manor of Radley in 1792. The unique pub sign used to show the Bowyer family arms but Greene King took it away and now there is just a name board. There is a large dining area including a timber-framed conservatory and a large garden where you can watch the trains.
