A warm welcome awaits at this popular Michelin-Guide dining venue, featuring an open-plan kitchen to watch the chefs at work. Drinkers are welcome in the small but comfy bar area which features a wood burning stove and stained glass window panels in the original pub frontage. The pub name derives from the currently-dry Lichfield canal route behind the building, undergoing restoration. If approaching from the north, a U-turn is required shortly after passing the pub on the right.
