Modernised countryside gastro-pub, food-focused but drinkers are welcome. The interior decor is contemporary-rustic - a monochrome colour scheme offset by wood, bare-brick and a glorious log fire. An elegant dining room looks out to green views and the multi-level beer terrace, where house martins nest under the eaves. There's a large elevated beer garden to the rear. Up to two guest beers are served. The historical Wall Roman site is nearby.
