This Pub is Permanently Closed
The Boars Head, which claims to be the oldest Public House in Bishop's Castle, is quite large and its public areas to the front seek to cater for a range of uses. It is multi-level with a dining area to one end, but it is perfectly possible to stay in the comfortable bar. Homemade traditional pub fayre is available throughout the day. The pub is the starting point for walk number 6 in the Walking with Offa series.
Participates in the annual Bishops Castle beer festival held each July.
As from late September 2019, may open later than the listed time, whilst it's
future is being determined.
Converted to a B&B in 2020.
