Has won the CAMRA Branch Community focused pub of the year several times and in 2026 won the ultimte branch accolade - Pub of the Year. A friendly and popular backstreet local, offering good beer and chat. Up to six cask ales and two/three real ciders are normally on offer, several meeting the LocAle criteria. Board games are played along with darts and euchre. In the snug bar a book club and knitting club take place. Live music iseveral times per week and a monthly quiz. Beer festival are usually around St Georges Day and in the early winter. The snug bar is available for small gatherings and meetings.
