This cosy thatched inn is some 400 years old and built of stone, flint and cob. Outside the south facing garden and patio area, with its glorious views across to Dartmoor, has summer seating for eating. Dogs are welcome, as are well-behaved children until 9.00pm. Following a change of ownership in May 2025, this always friendly pub has maintained it's reputation for great real ales and good home-cooked food. Live music sessions are held regularly, while a well-supported quiz night takes.
