Large, comfortable, family-oriented roadside pub, that re-opened on 27 September 2022 after a major refurbishment, having been closed since 23 March 2020.
Now branded as a Greene King Pub & Kitchen, the Bell has been significantly refurbished to provide a smart, tidy, comfortable and well-furnished pub, with several several drinking and dining areas. There are original low, beamed ceilings and plenty of wood panelling and exposed brickwork, that all add to the cozy and convivial atmosphere. Don't be put off by the surprisingly unprepossessing exterior look of the pub, which unfortunately belies the impressive interior.
There is an extensive menu of good value pub classic food, which includes a kids menu and a seniors menu. Four cask ales routinely served, usually three from Greene King and a guest ale. 10% discount on pints for card-carrying CAMRA members.
