The Barking Buck (formerly the Norfolk Lurcher) is housed in a converted fruit barn, eight miles from Norwich. New owners in late 2023 retained the traditional pub feel, but introduced a small plates and large plates menu. The food has an Asian fusion twist and is prepared fresh on the premises by international chefs.

The pub serves local ales, and has a large comfortable bar area and restaurant area, which had a recent (2024) makeover to enhance the current traditional pub look.

The extensive lawned rear beer garden with seating for eating and drinking, is complimented by a well-appointed seating area to the front now facilitates a drinking area with impressive umbrellas, giving a continental style to this rural pub/restaurant.

A designated rum bar now gives a nod to the Caribbean island of Grand Cayman.
