Bar Remedy is dedicated to live jazz, funk and soul (but also features other types of music) and opened in August 2025. Located in the former Cellar Trust shop (and then Crafty Kernel micropub) close to the Market Square and bus interchange. It comprises an open-plan ground floor room containing the bar, with further seating in an upstairs room. It has a modern, clean feel. One handpull offers a varying range of cask ales, usually from regional brewers. When visited in January 2026, the owner indicated the handpull had been installed at the request of customers and an additional handpull was being considered. Four keg taps on the servery provide additional choices.
