Built about 1850 as the Railway Hotel, the name changed to the Anglers in 1895. Now a family-run community local, it is home to various sports and pub games teams. Old pictures of the village decorate the lounge bar. An outside area, partly covered, includes a boules court, and hosts street food occasionally. Close to the station, bus stops and moorings on the Fossdyke, the country's oldest canal. Guest beers often include local ales. The outside drinking area, partly covered, includes a boules court.
