Prominent pub on the market square, next to the church with its rare octagonal tower. The pub features an inglenook fireplace with log-burning stove. There are six real ales, often local, and always including a dark beer, plus a number of real ciders. There is occasional live music. Many customers are accompanied by canine companions. A Space Invaders machine offers a number of other retro games. Park on the square or in the council car park to the rear.
