Norwich's first self-designated micropub, seating up to 25 people in a single room, and a few more outside weather permitting, serving up to three ales and four keykeg and foreign draft beers, plus a range of bottled beers,.
The Malt & Mardle was converted in 2021 from a shop premises that had had a variety of uses over the preceding years. It was taken over in 2026 by David Jones, manager of the World Beer Bar at Norwich Beer Festival.
Note that the pub is closed Monday and Tuesday, and operates on restricted hours when open. 'Mardle' is a Norfolk word for a relaxed conversation!
