This Pub is Permanently Closed

The licensee in 1900 seems to have been Herbert Smith but from 1901 to at least 1916 was George Green who may have died in 1918. He was succeeded by Stephanie Green. The licence was refused in 1919, compensation of £700 was paid and the pub closed on 27 December 1919. It was then sold as a house. The owners in 1919 were Eley's Brewery of Stafford.
