This large, popular pub sits on the Norbury Junction basin on the Shropshire Union Canal by Bridge 38, overlooking the former British Waterways boatyard. A good place to sit and watch the boats pass by. Beside the pub is the former Shrewsbury Canal, the junction of the two canals gave the pub its name. Thomas Jones was licensee & brewer in 1896 and 1900. The pub is listed as brewing its own beer in the Royal Commission Report on Arsenic in Beer in 1901.
