A small triangular end-of-terrace pub on the steep Romsey Road hill, just uphill from the railway bridge. The pub is in a good residential part of Winchester, and popular with staff from the nearby hospital, police headquarters and prison. Inside is single split-level L-shaped bar, with lots of wood and dark green walls, which add to the restful feeling of the place. Outside at the rear is a smart sheltered patio. The food menu is good with interesting specials and themes (see website). There is a quiz on Tuesdays and live acoustic music on the first and last Sunday in the month.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer (chosen from the Wadworth list) and 3 regular beers.
